These drugs need to be used as a tool. There is something that happens in the brain while I have been on Zepbound that has eliminated the grazing need. I have also found that it has helped with the sugar addiction. Around my period I noticed I still had a crazy “need” for sweets and would find myself in the kitchen looking for something. I craving is way tempted down and it allowed me to mentally work through what was happening and to consciously work through the craving and to say no. I feel that if I us the medication as a tool in working through the emotional side of my eating that my habits will make a difference long term.
I started Ozempic for my diabetes a few months ago. Quickly, I started getting very nauseous. It was just a temporary annoyance. I LOVE it now. My glucose levels are much, much better than before. I need less insulin. And I've finally lost weight and kept it off. I got very close to a BMI of 25, but I'm not going under. (For now. I'll try to work on it more.) Basically: it worked great for me. My endocrinologist and I were a bit worried that it wouldn't work. The best part of it is: I'm no longer hungry all the time! I used to be hungry absolutely all the time. Now, I can eat a normal portion of something and be satiated. That's the best part of Ozempic for me. But the main point here is that just because it worked for me, its effects are not really enough for me to be over my weight loss, and it may not work the same for someone else. Bodies are finicky. I'm impressed at how doctors manage to deal with them.
Also normies talking about weightloss that never used an excell sheet/pen paper with a kitchen scale to lose weight. Can really shut up, calories in calories out. Period.
scare mongering clickbait video. The drugs are safe and they work well if you actually decrease your calories once started. Of course they don't work if you stop taking them and then continue taking excess calories. And of course you lose muscle mass if you decrease your calorie intake and drop weight.
"And it's actually, frankly, bizarre that after decades of research supporting the idea that this is a very complex issue, so many people insist on acting like [weight loss is] easy." LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN BACK PLEASE
Great video, and great investigation. Thank you for putting all of this work together!
Basic note: the correlation between obesity and thyroid cancer doesn't actually tell us that losing weight will reduce the cancer risk.
Causality is really tough to establish, especially when it comes to weight and diet. (Most of us aren't going to keep or report accurate information on what we eat, and the folks who could are unlikely to be a representative sample of the general population.)
Meanwhile, it's extremely easy to study basically anything for a correlation with weight… partly because that's such easy data to collect.
A correlation between thyroid cancer and obesity could mean that thyroid cancer tends to cause obesity. It could mean that some third factor (poverty for example) causes both conditions.
What it CAN'T tell you is: – if you are already obese, losing weight will reduce your risk of thyroid cancer – if you aren't obese, avoiding weight gain will reduce your risk of thyroid cancer
There is ONE causal link that has been established when it comes to reducing your calorie intake to lose weight: in the long term almost everyone (80-90%) will regain what they lost… and add more. Which makes it pretty crazy that doctors keep recommending variations of this to people all the time.
Many of my friends are on Ozempic, but they do not have diabetes. They were just affluent enought to pay $1000/mo to lose weight. They are smaller, butlthey don't look better they look terrible. They look like deflated gray balloons. Their hair no longer has shine and falls out in clumps. They are overly full after 2 tbps. of food, but have no energy. They are also losing height, probably from the muscle loss that holds their bodies upright. I recently went to a birthday party soiree that only lasted 2 hours, as guests did not have the energy to dance or karaoke, and/or eat. The very expensive party ended early as the withered guests dragged themselves home for much required rest.I now love my fat, my energy & exuberence.
Alternative: Low cost, low risk, health promoting: low-carb diet, with time restricted feeding. (don't snack at night, have bacon and eggs for breakfast, skip the toast, oatmeal, and especially cereal!) I think most will see many benefits from just that. Fat is healthy! Too many carbs are causing many of our problems.
Could one of the reasons that people stop taking it after 1-2 years be because insurance drops their coverage once the person gets "too healthy" for it despite still having a ways to go before they are actually healthy again? My husband's insurance covers it purely because of his A1C. However, my A1C is too low to qualify (still elevated though), yet we need to lose roughly the same amount of weight to be considered healthy.
It takes exactly 2 google searches to find a plausible reason why Dr. Daniel Drucker may want to mislead people into thinking it is "impossible" to lose weight of their own accord. "Daniel Drucker Board Member", which will show you he is an advisory board member of the company Amgen, and "Amgen Weight Loss", which will show you that they are counting on getting into this new, huge market. Let's not pretend that calorie deficits aren't a foolproof way to lose weight. Whether or not they are the healthiest, achievable for a given individual, or sustainable are up for debate. If a doctor says that it's not possible though, then their advice should be taken with a grain of salt. I am not saying we should rush to discredit anyone, but please consider the reasons he might be saying this. Losing weight IS simple, but not easy. There are no fat, starving people.
There’s nothing complex about losing weight. Note that doesn’t mean is easy. Lazy people use the excuse of complexity to excuse being over weight. The body needs energy to literally stay alive if you don’t feed it energy it will use the energy that’s already in the body (fat). It’s that simple, It’s just a matter of whether you can’t stop feeding it energy. Workout is a bonus because it increases the energy the body is gonna need. Every person that was lost in an island was found very skinny I know what a mystery. 😅 but fat lazy people are like is just so complex we will never know the answers to weight lost we are doomed to be fat oh man I guess I better go get some McDonald’s. Btw this is not just a fact this is literally a law of physics energy exchange. So if you say this is not true you are literally saying the laws of physics are wrong so think about that.
im sorry, near the end of this video, they said that people who eat less couldnt lose weight. are they telling us that if someone were to eat equal to or less than what your body needs, that you cant lose weight? that literally doesnt make sense. these people who tried to eat less and control their diet wasnt going far enough to get close to their body's minimum requirement to function.
i lost 9 pounds in 3 months by changing my lunch and dinner to something with less fats and calories. as well as eating more veggies and less everything else to get full on less calories. i still went out to eat 3 times a week when i did my groceries or errands but my total calorie intake went down and i lost the weight
I'm just not fond of the idea of having a solution to obesity which involves a big part of the population chronically injecting a drug into themselves. Sounds distopic.

"Most people stop taking them within 2 years" … "they cost $1k per month"
I have a wild theory.
Exactly ozympic is seen by the chistians as a easy way and those guys hate easy ways

This is a great video. I was expecting a more contrarian view given the headline, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the positive feedback.
Novo Nordisk is a highly respected organisation and you can be SURE you're NOT being lied to by THEM.
Also normies talking about weightloss that never used an excell sheet/pen paper with a kitchen scale to lose weight.

Period.
Well all in all its 200% more studied than shitty jabs and no matter how unsafe it is its still safer than the jab.

How much are they paying you?
Being lied to by this video.
"Burning more calories isn't a guaranteed path to weight loss." Welp, that's a lethal dose of cope.
Lmao….the doctor saying that dieting and exercising doesn't work for some people. Sounds like something an Ozempic employee would say.
Even though my insurance pays for wegovy. I end up selling it to buy groceries.😢
Balancing my emotions with Normotim has been a huge step forward in my weight-loss journey.
By reducing my stress, Normotim has indirectly helped me lose weight.
"We talked about the bad, now let's talk about the good side effects"
Literally everything you said that was bad you followed with "but that's not actually the case"
How much was BI payed for this video?
Oh that's just big pharma propaganda piece.
Shocking! Well, maybe not that shocking. In 10 years TV and YouTube will be full of Ads "you are entitled to compensations".
It’s unanimous. Everyone (creator and comment section) has good things to say about O!

Great video, and great investigation. Thank you for putting all of this work together!
How is your ending message, "people shouldn't overeat and be lazy, but this will do for now"? WTF is wrong with all of you?
This sounds like an advertisement. I think they might own stock.

People will do anything to maintain their “health” except diet property and exercise. Geez.

Just wanted to let you know that there's an EXTREMELY inexpensive alternative to Ozempic… Not only is it free, but it will actually save you money…
Great video
We call it Ozempic Head!
God I love real journalism.

People would rather fall apart taking pills than go workout and fast.

16:25 to be fair compounding Pharmaceuticals are often made for people with allergies to something in standard medicine.

You have to change WHAT you eat if you want to be healthy.
