I disagree about vr not been a competitor it's not like every vr game is single player lots of the vr experiences need teams of people you can even have multiple people in a warehouse scale game together it's also digital so can be easily changed
Maybe pure-play arcades are gone but in my country there are still many places that are very similar to arcades. They're not all video games but still, the concept is very similar.
if u have no friends, then arcades are pointless. i havent been to a dave and busters since 2018, no friends no girlfriend, so what's the point in consuming any kind of thing. i just buy groceries and that's about it
Id love to see more stimulation style arcade games that are custom to the simulation environment. Back in the day there used to be battletech centers with mech simulators that were awesome for the time. Now that the tech has come down in price and has drastically improved to the point of photorealism, if I've to see someone take a crack at something like that again. Or even something like an advanced futuristic spaceship sim pod, maybe motion controlled? I haven't seen anyone do those kinds of things in a really long time. And if you made them multiplayer, it could be fantastic.
Thought this was a cool video, but it kinda just degraded into a pitch for investors for a thousand boxes. I do think think it’s cool, but it’s basically like Mario Party for Adults but you feel like you’re on a game show. I do hope with this latest presidential election, and if (please god) we can avert a World War 3, I do see a rapid growth in private business investment. Not just major metropolitan, but smaller cities. 1000 Boxes becoming as ubiquitous as, “hey honey let’s go out for Trivia Night” That being said, rapid growth of AR Augmented Reality technology, becoming more lightweight, but better visual quality is ever expanding. Still years away from “ubiquitous” but I do believe Augmented Reality is the future of Arcade, 1000 boxes could evolve to incorporate, if it doesn’t it’ll be just like Chucky Cheese irrelevant.
Chuck E. Cheese going bankrupt? Who would've guessed that the golden age of arcades would end like this. Can nostalgia alone save businesses in the 21st century? 🤔
I feel the 1000 boxes project is more than entertainment, it's a catalyst for community connection and empowerment. By engaging local communities in creative experiences, they inspire people to explore their potential and support each other. The revenue will be had naturally from the meaningful experiences and innovations that emerge from these collaborations. Not punching a ticket to see it like a museum….
Hey @ModernMBA is Street Fighter II intended to be listed at 54 seconds at 1982? It's a later release in 91 and couldn't have peaked in importance by then.
Man apple should totally buy all the arcade games of the 90’s-00’s and put them in the Apple Arcade….i think the public would respond a lot more to these old school classics because I know people loved pump quarters into these suckers like clockwork

Chuck will always be a rat to me.
This sounds like the coolest space ever.

OS looks so cool wish that existed in LA
I'm surprised I've never heard of your channel before. This was a great documentary! You've got a new sub!
0:50 Street fighter 2 was not relased in 1982 more like 1992..
Kind of like a public commercial version of You Don’t know Jack. Makes sense.

I can’t express how much value this video is providing us. I will remember you all once we launch 😤😤
From cool arcades to simps smashing buttons. I bet the DJ is a felony!
Really like the OS guys midset
A more accurate title would be "how arcades evolved into family entertainment centres"
That guy at the 15:00 mark is good at presenting his business. I wish him well.
Surprised cod still doesn't have a mode where you can bet money
This shit needs a major follow-up video actually acknowledging Round1's growth in the US arcade industry
Man, this is great. Now do gacha games (and things like FIFA and Madden, which are now just also casinos)
🕹️🥳
I hate these new videos with interviews.
Thanks again
What about business of Thai megamalls?

Super sick
24:43 is that Kelly Moran?
