Quality of chipotle has gone down dramatically so i am not surprised they are seeing more profit in tje short term but the matket will figure out they are psying too much for sub par product and chipotle will be another company that used to be good but decided to cut corners and it will fade into the momories of what used to be. Inflation has really started to affect mlst people so it is a treat for most rather than a faily thing and proba ly this new guy will come in and cut corners and the coffee will become su par and will go the way of.chipotle. we got chipotle just the other night and i had not had it in a while. I couldnt eat it. It was not good. Perhaps it was just myocation but his and didnt like his either and he gets it once a week. So, quality matters and people notice and especially when people just font have money to burn.

Its called go woke and go broke. Simple as that. And skimming all the quality and quantity for instant profit increase is the easiest and quickest way to make yourself the next shooting star. But like all shooting stars, they burn out. Very soon after your customer base will go somewhere else.

They F’d up when they allowed non-customers to bring in their own food and beverages, threw the manager under the bus, called their shops the “third place”, closed city shops, opened shops in the suburbs, etc. But mainly there was too much good (better) and non-woke coffee elsewhere, so people left.
The chipotle brand is complete trash compared to 10-15 years ago. Every Chipotle in my city (there are at least 7 of them) are dirty with lazy, apathetic, barely functioning humans working with customers!

My father was boycotting Starbucks due to some perceptions, right or wrong. And there is only so much a CEO can do to change this. It is one of the only major chains that I personally use but it has been taking a hit in the progressive neighborhoods as the defund police stance has backfired trickling crime and homeless into these bubbles where a suburban wealthy person could stroll in and pay the big money for those fancy drinks. Manhattan has had to close their most famous location due to crime waves. Admittedly, I like their coffee but being in the low income bracket, I don’t know how people afford these types of expenses. I am now using a French press and buying their ground coffee. The problem surrounding their unwillingness to let certain employees unionize without severe backlash was to be expected but pissed people off. Some found their social justice stands to be more hypocritical and they’ve lost credibility to many politically correct people as well. There are several factors as to why this company has seen profits dip. Many are due to reasons the inflation and average American struggles. But it’s a bit of a little of many things.
