honestly i have been using puma softride series for daily use and nitro series for running and i have 4 shoes of it (not because they got damaged or something but i just like to buy)… They are great and i find them better than adidas or nike. And for regular walks softride is just "soft ride'
Sketchers are good but it all comes to personal preference and each of my softride costed me about 6k and the nitro costed me 15k and yeah buy wahtever you want

Great shoes are overpriced in India. Brands do sell their entry level sub standard products in the Indian sub continent. Whereas there premium categories are either hard to find or they priced it so high a regular person won’t be able to purchase it.
Just like sketchers, Nike, Puma, Adidas, Reebok, New-balance, Anta, Asics, Brooks all these brands do have similar even sometimes better lineups than Sketchers GoWalk series. However, they were not able to penetrate the market well due to their sports and lifestyle focused marketing strategy instead of utility based strategy. That is where Sketchers identified the gap. Also, there is a lot of hype about Sketchers as it was made available for India very recently compared to some brands like Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Fila, Puma etc.

Skechers is not a premium brand, only lower income class who is not bothered by brands wear Skechers. 1st pref is always given to Nike/Puma/Adidas

I have been purchasing my shoes from Skechers brand only since the past 3 years because of the comfort and durability the shoes provide. I recently bought Skechers Go Run Ride 10 (MRP Rs. 14K) during the Flipkart Big Billion sale for Rs. 4.4K, and I am using it daily for running.

My father is 52 before sketchers he used to wear Nike n adidas According to him they were comfortable but they were useless after 6-10 months now he wears sketchers in last 5 years he had bought about 8-10 pairs not even a single one according to him has gone bad he hasn’t thrown even the oldest one n still wears each one of them one by one he also tried under armour says it’s even worse than Nike
