This is such a sad situation! This dude and his wife are both dying on Walmarts floor still in thousands in debt. His daughter won’t even be able to afford to bury her parents.
This episode gave me a lot of anxiety but also opened my mind to this could one day be me if I don’t get my shiz together!! This is the future of the WORLD if we don’t stop swiping the CREDIT CARDS and not living within our means and not paying it off!! 😢
Once you've been through personal bankruptcy due to credit card debt, there should be a lifetime $2000 cap on your non-mortgage borrowing. Maybe with the exception of car financing.
For this guy, if he want to craw out of his sinking hole, he needs to pick up paycheck everywhere he possibly can, selling everything he possibly can think of besides his house and their car, and stop spending every single penny. Buy a big jug of the cheapest multi vitamin, a giant bag of the cheapest Rice and beans. And start to paying off his debt, save up, he will be fine in 5-8 years (financially in a much better spot), if he is still alive when he is 70 years old. And for another 5 years of keep doing it. He may have another 10 years of ok retirement life.
No offense, and nothing personal, but F no, I don’t want to use my tax money to pay students loan for this kind of person ( swapped their future away instead of be responsible for his and his family’s finances).
This ep makes me so sad, he reminds me so much of my father(specially when he got defensive over his daughter 😭) ofc not as bad debt and happily retired, but damn parents w bad financial habits and debt pass it to their children, and its a never ending cycle. Trying my best to break it
This one makes me think of my parents. Mid/late 50’s, decided to sell their home and build when they only had 5 years left and their business was doing so well that they were making double payments on their home monthly. Now they’re working for every single bill to build their home, they have no retirement cause neither has worked at a place long enough to even start anything and their business is barely making anything. My dad has early onset Parkinson’s and is rapidly declining and won’t be able to work soon. Idk what we’re gonna do with them and it stresses me out so much.
I have no credit card debt, no payday loans, no afterpay/etc. I work full-time and have benefits. I pay into an employer-matched retirement account, and IN ADDITION TO THAT I save a portion of my paycheck every month (I have nearly 3 full months of expenses saved as an emergency fund).
And my Hammer Financial Score is still 0 😅😭 because I have hefty student loans and don't own any property.
It blows my mind when people come on here saying they're a 5, not knowing Caleb has high standards.

Somehow, even after a long conversation in this episode, we uncovered EVEN MORE wild stuff about his past in today's Post Show: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLe_q9axMaeTbjN0hy1Z9xA/join
He seems like a genuinely nice, lovely man. I bet he would be a bright and happy grandfather

Sir. Ima need you to take that bass out your voice when you talk to me. You’re the one committing death by credit.
He's gonna have to do bankruptcy again.

I feel bad for him. He was the ones Caleb yelling to whom they swapped their future away.
This guy will never change
Gr8 content mate😊

How are you even allowed to get a credit card AFTER bankruptcy? I feel like there should be a law against that haha
Life's hard when you don't learn from your mistakes.

This is a real sad case. It shows the consequences of bad debt.
