Here is some "real investing advice" for beginners: (Real advice from an average person who has turned every $1 into $120 over the past 30 years, is not a professional and is not trying to sell you anything)
1. 95% of all YouTube investment gurus have only been investing since 2010 (In other words they only have bull market experience)
2. 95% of these people have read books on marketing, etc. and are not here to actually help you. They are here to have you click on the affiliate links, sign up to whomever is sponsoring the video or try and sell you "classes" they created out of thin air.
3. The most important item: Almost all these YouTube investment gurus (aka salespeople) have ZERO experience in what's called "Multiple full market cycle investing". They have no clue what drawdowns are nor are they the least bit interested in what will happen to your portfolio when you are down 50,60 or even 70% from the market highs as you panic out and sell at the bottom (after buying higher and higher)
4. #3 will happen. There will be another real bear market at some point. I've seen them over the past 30 years and one other fact remains: These YouTube investment gurus will simply "disappear" at some point as the market get worse and worse, as the people who listened to them will watch their money vanish, get angry and start to question and backlash against these "gurus" who lead them down this path.
Remember folks: Anyone who is truly trying to help you would not be trying to "sell you" anything. Not a course, not have you click on an affiliate link, nothing.
As admitted by most of these gurus: They have ZERO financial educational background, zero professional financial experience and zero professional certifications/ licenses to even be recommending any sort of security.

Should I be investing into any crypto bitcoin solana for the long term or just stick to the 3 fund portfolio
I initially did the big ticket buy, 150k into SCHD, 75k TSLA, 25k VYM, 25K VUG, AMZN 25K. Now I'm dca buying roughly 2k every week of whatever is on sale, and looking to add more tech positions to my portfolio. I'm looking to hold long term 15 – 20 years, so hopefully my lump sum buy in doesn't bite me in the ass long term.
Most of my money is in ETFs. But I do have a small allocation to individual stocks that I have a strong conviction in. Strong foundation first.

For example, I'm currently reading "Principles for dealing with The Changing World Order" by Rai Dalio, and I would be really interested to hear your opinion on the matter. It basically speaks about the downfall of empires and how it could be close to happening to the US, not saying it will, but just would like to know your opinion and what would that mean for the overall portfolio you recommend. Again, not doubting you, you are the best 🙂 but just wanted to know what the take of this by someone as experienced as you would be 😁
