I have an amul franchise, and now i am in debt of around 4 lakhs… The things that these "finfluencers" wont tell you is the cost of running the business… 3 big freezers for the ice creams, and other frozen products and an ambiance with proper lighting and an AC… Man the bill adds up, and before you know it, 2.5% means nothing because amul unlike other companies start selling franchises to your neighbour, his neighbour and all products are available at the nearest retail stores and guess what you are no longer an exclusive in your area… Also its a very rough company to deal with as it wont even let you sell any snacks or even the syrups you put in your scoops needs to be amul at how so ever low margin you get from it… Options trading is better that Amul parlour or franchise, at least you don't have any expectations of wealth creation from it…
